Healing Hearts 1: Warrior Angel(46)

She struggled a moment as Zayn hugged her as well as Thermo and Selasi. They were caressing her hair and she was hugging them back.

“Holy fuck, woman. What the hell were you thinking?” Zayn yelled at her, but squeezed her tighter. She tilted up with tears in her eyes and he kissed her lips. “Get her away from here. Away from that piece of shit,” Thermo said in anger.

“Wait, Casey,” she said.

“They got her. The paramedics are here,” Selasi said.

Ghost looked at Kai. “You waited kind of long, Kai. A few more seconds, and Jesus,” he said and shook his head.

“The gun was to my throat,” she replied.

“No one would believe how you got out of that. Glad I have cameras,” he said and pointed up.

“Wonderful, now everyone can see how she grabbed Lionel by the balls, fondling him so she could make a move,” Mike said.

She looked at Thermo. He reached for her hand and then cursed. She cringed as she stretched it.

“Looks like Casey isn’t the only one going to the hospital,” Selasi said to her.

She hugged Thermo, kept her face against his chest and just breathed in his scent, his cologne and the feeling of protection him and his brothers instantly provided. The chaos continued around them. The police on the scene, Lionel still flipping out, but battered and beaten by her, a broken nose and he was going to jail. Thermo tried walking her away, but Lionel was no longer in the hallway and she wanted to check on Casey.

“Casey.”

“You did more than enough. You saved her life and nearly got fucking killed. I don’t want you away from me,” Thermo said. She held his hand and pulled him with her. He exhaled. The paramedics had Casey on a gurney right there by the back entrance.

“Kai. Oh God, I’m so sorry this happened.”

She caressed her cheek. “It wasn’t your fault, but it’s over now.”

“Thank God you’re trained the way you are, Kai.”

“A soldier’s woman, a cop’s sister, never forgets her training. We’ll follow you to the hospital,” she said, and Casey nodded and then Kai turned into Thermo’s arms and hugged him again. Selasi looked at her hand and she gazed up at him.

“Can you wiggle your fingers?” he asked.

“It’s fine,” she said but as she tried, she cringed.

“Let me see,” Turner said, and came over. He apparently was some sort of medic on his team as a mercenary.

“I think you may have broken something,” he said to her.

“Should have killed the fucker,” Selasi stated.

“Emergency room. Let’s go,” Zayn said.

“Could I maybe take a shower first?” she asked.

“What? Why the hell would you want to shower first?” Mike asked her.

“I can feel Lionel on my neck. He licked me and suckled there and—”

“Enough! We saw it. Let’s get to the hospital, get the x-ray and when we’re done we take you home, you shower and then we spend the rest of the fucking weekend in bed,” Thermo stated in front of everyone. Then he lifted her up into his arms and carried her away. The guys all cheered, hooted and hollered and she didn’t mind at all as Selasi and Zayn followed, shaking their heads and still looking angry. They all would need a lot of hugs and kisses tonight, and she would need all three of her men deep inside of her, making love to her, keeping her close, and making her feel whole again.

“I love you guys,” she said to them, and kissed Thermo’s neck.

“We love you, too, but when we get home later, you’re getting your first ass spanking for getting caught in that situation and for scaring the life out of us,” Zayn said.

“What?” she asked.

“I second that,” Selasi said, opening the truck door.

“Ooh Rah!” Thermo added, and his brothers chuckled and she felt her body’s reaction to their words, and their show of possession, protection and desire. Who would have thought that the type of men she had been running from and fearing would be the ones she fell in love with? This warrior angel found her very own warriors to call her own.
